The WSL’s all time top-scorer Vivianne Miedema has had surgery on her left knee.
The former Arsenal legend recently joined Manchester City, having scored two goals in 5 games for her new club.
City have not revealed the extent of the injury or suggested how long Miedema might be out of action for.
The 28-year-old last featured in the Champions League win over Barcelona on 9 October.
