BBC & Sky Sports secure new WSL rights deal until 2030!⚽

BBC Sport has just locked in a five-year deal to keep the Women’s Super League (WSL) matches on your screens until 2030! 🎉

BBC will showcase 21 top-flight matches each season. Starting from the 2025-26 season, fans can look forward to 14 exclusive matches airing on BBC television, along with seven shared on BBC iPlayer and other digital platforms. 📺

Want to catch the action while you’re on the go? Selected matches will also be available on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Sounds, and local BBC radio stations.

But that’s not all! Goals and highlights from every game will be easily accessible on the BBC Sport website, app, and social media channels, so you won’t miss a single moment of the action! ⚽✨

In addition, matches will continue to air on Sky Sports, where they will broadcast 78 exclusive matches. Plus, you can catch 34 matches on the Women’s Professional Leagues Limited’s (WPLL) YouTube channel.

For the first time, Sky will also feature matches from the Women’s Championship and Women’s League Cup.

What the WSL deal means

The new deal is great news for WSL fans. By keeping a good handful of matches available on the BBC and on YouTube it will help to further develop the fan bases, especially for those who can’t afford Sky Sports.

With matches on Sky Sports it also opens up the women’s game to those who watch the Premier League regularly helping to further tap into already established club fan bases.
